Hello Bloggie Friends. Today, I got my 2nd order from Scholastic this year!! Wow, look at all those books! I set a goal this year to grow (double) my library...it's official, I need a 3rd bookcase! Yippie!!!
All of these books will go into my classroom library! |
Now, if you notice, there is a duplicate book, Mind Your Manners B.B. Wolf. I got overzealous and ordered two. So in the spirit of sharing, I'm going to help grow your classroom library with a book every class probably needs to read a few times throughout the year when they have forgotten their manners. I'm giving away my never read, duplicate copy of Mind Your Manners B.B. Wolf and since the weather is beginning to feel a bit like Fall, I'm throwing in a $5 Starbucks giftcard. That's right, I'm having my very first giveaway! Woo Hoo!! Awesome background provided by Robyn Hyndman at http://onceuponaportable.blogspot.com/

One goal that I've accomplished this school year is that I've reworked my reading center block so that it runs smoother.
I love your blog. Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway!

Liliris,
Would you mind sending me your re-worked schedule? I'm having difficulties fitting everything in;)
One goal I have accomplished is having more fun in my classroom and I owe that all to blogging and TpT. Also, in reply to your comment on my blog, I am not sure what you mean by sound boxes? We don't use them. I just stretch words out for my kids when they ask how to spell a word and if it has a silent letter or something tricky I forewarn them.

Oh... white mocha! You stole my heart! My goal this year was to increase std responsibility. I think it is working. I posted this to my FB instead of blogging. HTH!

Woohoo! Congratulations on expanding your library! I'm a new follower :)
One goal I had this year was to make my room my own! We moved classrooms this year and our room is quite a bit bigger than most. Many of the other teachers and students come in and say they wish they could be in second grade because they love our room so much.
Thanks for hosting such a fun giveaway!

Thanks Aimee! I've entered your giveaway! It's wonderful! I love, love, love your blog name and follow you.
Kayla, I'm jealous. My room is small and our desks are huge! I think I'd like it better if I could put tables in the room, but we don't have enough chairs in our building. I wonder how much it would cost to make 22 crate seats?
Misty, Thanks for stopping by. I do love that white chocolate mocha. I'm getting one on Friday!!!
I don't have a classroom yet but can I share that this year I passed the last exam needed to obtain a bilingual Ed certificate? I am now ready to get my own classroom!
Not a teacher quite yet but I did survive my first year as an education & science major and am almost done with the first semester to my second year! :)
Hi Bren and Dee! Welcome:) Bren, I see you're in TX. I know DISD is hiring right now...if you're interested. Dee, congrats! I keep wanting to go back to school to get my Masters for school counseling. Then, I keep putting it off. Be proud for going to school, it isn't easy.
