I'm off to the pool with my girl to enjoy our last few days of summer!  Since I wasn't able to link up last week, here are my all of my crafty pics!  I love Monday Made It's...it motivates me to do all the things I need to:)

My Table Caddies - I have 2 turquoise, 2 lime and 1 orange.  I actually like the orange the best;)

I decided to do a Wall of Fame for my Clipchart this year - I think I'm going to love it.

I'm going to make pennants with this ribbons (check back next week!).

Station Rotation Board - I decided to use Dots on Turquoise to accent my room this year.  It goes well with my Mermaid Theme and if I decided to nix the mermaids next year, I like the theme enough to go with it for 2 more years.

I forgot that I made these cute cupcakes - if you're feeling hungry they have NO CALORIES...enjoy!

PLEASE ignore my 2nd post.  

Do you have a person at school who's that "go to person".  Well, I've kind of become that person.  Not for EVERYTHING, but sometimes I am shocked what people think I know or can do!  Word has spread that I have a lil' teaching blog and a TpT store.  Okay, okay, it's my fault!  When I sold $20 on TpT, I was so psyched and told everyone at our staff meeting (don't act like you don't check your TpT sales during staff meetings).

So a veteran teacher who hand-crafts math games and I were talking.  She mentioned wanting to sell her game/s.  I asked her why she didn't create digital versions and sell them on TpT.  Anyway, she asked me to set a blog up and teach her how to create digital products.  Yeah, sure I can do that. But, a lot of my blogging and creating came to me through trial and error and I was already fairly technically savvy.  Plus, I'm still a newbie at creating.  In the process I made some clipart...not top notch or anything, but pretty good for a newbie.

Quick Scarf Tutorial Under $10

Since I'm on break, I spend a lot of time looking at blogs and pintrest.  Well, I had a lunch planned for today with 2 teacher friends and thought I'd take them gifts.  They are both pretty crafty so I thought they would like something I made rather than something I bought.

I found this cute scarf on pintrest 

and thought, "hey I can do that!"  

Am I the only one who does that when I find something on pintrest?

So, I followed the tutorial at http://www.simplysalvage.com/t-shirt-ruffle-scarf-tutorial/.  

My first attempt was a bust!  I used a paper plate and it's just simply too small, so I used a regular plate the 2nd time and it worked like a charm!  I bought a 2XL T-shirt from Wally's for under $6.  

Step 1: Draw 4-5 Circles on it (use a regular plate, yes you can use a sharpie or chalk).

Step 2: Cut into spirals (cut smaller than this, about 1.5") 

 

Step 3: Gather Strips with a felt flower.  

  Now, if you've never made these....they are easy peesy lemon squeezey!   

Plus, they are super-dee-dooper cheap so if your my daughter loses them at pre-school you aren't worried about her losing an expensive bow (or even a $1 bow).  

I used a glade candle to trace, you can use a baby food jar lid or something similar in size.  I use a sheet of felt (.29cents at Wally's).  I trace 6ish circles.   

 You'll also need a pony tail holder too.   

 Fold the circles in half.

Then into 1/4's.  Put a little hot glue (in the center) to hold the fold. Then, hot glue down onto the base circle (which I cut a bit smaller so you don't see it).   

Take a look at the pretty bracelet my wonderful hubby bought me for Christmas.

You just glue 4 of these onto the base.  Then, 2 more onto the top to make it look fuller.  Then hot glue a pony tail holder onto the back.  I glue a small oval of felt over the pony tail holder to secure it.  I made 2 black scarves and a red & purple flower.

I made another item today Restroom Passes .  If it works for you, you're more than welcome to use it.  

Our school is doing a big push on Fry's and Dolch Sight Words this year.  So I added a 2nd page with them for the backside.  

I know, I know everyone is making those cute sanitizer bottles for passes.  I was going to make some too, but I started thinking... Where are they going to put it when they go to the restroom?  On the floor?  YUCK-O!  

Monday Made It, My Baby & *DEALS*

I'm late to this party because I had to take my baby girl to Pre-School.  It wasn't an easy morning for either of us.  

Monday Made It #2 

I found this green basket at the Dollar Tree and I found the birdie at Wal Mart for under $1.  I added ribbon and voila.  I think I'm going to use it to house my dry-erase markers.  I can never find a good spot for them. 

 

 I also mod podged these X-large coffee cans and added bling.  I tried to add stickers that say "bling buckets" b/c I don't have a cricut, but low and behold the stickers wouldn't stick.  So, I'm borrowing a cricut this week.  I bought a bunch of pens and mechanical pencils - they will go in the bling buckets.  

Onto my *Deals*

Target & Walgreens actually paid me this week to walk out the door with school supplies.  Yup, they paid me!!!   I got a great deal for about *D*I*M*E* at Office Depot!

 Walgreens had Bic Cristal Bold Pens on sale for .49c and I had two $1 off coupons of 2 Bic items!  I got 4 sets of Bic Cristal Bold Pens and I had .04c overage.  At Target I had two $1 off 3 Roseart items.  I bought 4 pkgs. of crayons + 3 glues and Target paid me .52c to take them out of the store!!  Of course I spent around $20 at both locations (darn that Target Dollar Spot), so I didn't walk out with change in my pocket!!

While I was @ Walgreens, I found 2 chairs that I think I'm going to put at my writing station.  They were on clearance for $3.50!  Yup, 2 chairs under $8, WOO HOO!  I'm not showing them to you just yet...you'll have to wait for my classroom pics;)

I ran out of ink last night (big shock), so I ran to Office Depot (they are having a 20% off sale for all teachers this week) and while I was there I got these awesome deals!!  5 notebooks and 6 zipper pouches for .11c!  You heard saw that correct!  By the way, I love those Foray pens and they were $2ea  .50c ea.  Yippie!  I love, love, love deals!!

Monday Made It (take 1) & a Great Prof. Dev. Day

I FINALLY get to do a "Monday Made It"! Yippie! I've been busy, but I have sooo much more to do. First, I made my table supply caddies. I didn't just cut and laminate a flower and put it on. I found 10 for $1 at the Dollar Tree. I mod podged it and added a sticker. Then, I put 2 pieces of velcro on the back. I want to be able to change my theme to tropical and still use them. I also found these awesome, matching trash holders (b/c I like kids to clean up after themselves, but I prefer that they don't get up while doing projects). I also made matching table signs. I will hang those.

Next, I jumped on the Duct Tape Band Wagon & made these...

A cute Attendance Board, Exit Ticket & Containers.

I also mod podged a "sharp pencil" container (I made an unsharp one too, but I don't like it).

I also made my classroom RULES.

I'm debating buying a laminator. I think I would use it, but I'm nervous to spend the $$. Yes, you should know this now, I'm CHEAP! So next week my goal is to finish stations, do a rotation board, mod podge my cork board, get all of my border and baskets!

I just returned from an all day training. It was a fabulous make & take by The Project Gals http://www.projectgals.com/products-page/ . They have some great ideas that I *BET* most of you in bloggie world will love! ALL hands-on projects based on Blooms Higher Levels of Learning! Gotta Love it.
